I have been dreading writing this post but quickly I will just say we longer have chickens. It has been a stressful few weeks, the result of a cranky old neighbor who could not accept chickens in the neighborhood. He doesn't even live next to me but whatever. They have gone to live with Aunty Kris at Simplify. She has a nice post and some pictures of them on her blog. She is a saint and I am so thankful that she has given them such a wonderful home. The coop was dreadfully lonely so the very next day Q and I filled it with plants and veggies. I will share some pics of it soon.

Cambria Nursery - A Favorite
Whenever we are in Cambria I could care less about shopping in town but I sure do love a visit the the nursery. It truly is a gem.
The have many demonstration areas that advertise their landscaping business. Yes, I will take this garden please.
Color is everywhere. And things just bloom so much brighter by the sea.
They have lots of fairy gardens on display.
Their shop is full of so much eye candy and fun things.
I love these chicken pillows. Just add them to my cart.

Loving this Month
I had to buy this month's edition. Great cover. Makes me think more and more that whenever I paint my vintage kitchen it has to be this color blue.

I am loving all the vintage trailer decor via Pinterest. I love these little trailers and my brother restored one last year but I shall never give up my modern trailer with a full bathroom. I do however like to add campy decor to my little trailer.
Of course I love organization posts and pins. I hope to accomplish some projects this summer.
Some easy patriotic crafts for Q and I to do.
I really love these tiny garden sheds. Not only useful but a real garden ornament.
I am growing lots of pumpkins this year and just adore this little pumpkin patch. I will show you mine when it is in full force.
You can see my boards on Pinterest here.

Summer Supper Salad
Last summer I had a very yummy salad at the home of Kris from Simplify. I could not remember exactly what all was in it so I sort of created it from what I had on hand. In summer we often have big crunchy salads for dinner. I served it along with cheesey bread. Simply sour dough with melted shredded sharp cheddar toasted in the broiler. Tomatoes and cucumbers were from the garden. Yum!
Summer Supper Salad
Chopped lettuce
Cooked diced chicken breasts
Whole wheat noodles boiled al dente
Toasted pine nuts
Cucumbers
Feta cheese crumbled (or a cheese you like)
Diced tomatoes
Crumbled turkey bacon
Dressing of your choice
Toss together and enjoy!
Another favorite summer supper salad.
And my recipes page is back up on the blog. Lot's more dinner ideas there.

Big Furniture Move and a Photography Question
This really big piece of furniture had to come out of our bedroom. Too big when we gave the big bedroom to the girls and we took the quiet bedroom in the back. So the highboy now resides in the dining room. I guess it goes since I sort of have a colonial vibe in there.
Anywhoo this room is big enough for it so it shall stay here for now. Gives me lots of storage for linens. This room is a continual work in progress. This is supposed to be the year all the remaining doors and trim get changed out and updated.
So the dry sink went over in front of the window. We are always moving furniture. The room really is slanting but here is my question to you all. How on earth do you take interior photos of something in front of the window? I have yet to figure out the secret of doing this and not using flash.
